This is not an online database or index to Massachusetts probate records. This is an application to have one of our researchers physically search for and locate a probate case file.

We service the probate and family courts of Bristol, Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Worcester counties of eastern Massachusetts.
We do not service the probate and family courts of Barnstable, Berkshire, Dukes, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Nantucket or Plymouth.

There is a minimum fee of $45 for this service. Company or personal checks and or money orders are accepted for payment. Further instructions are sent via a web based confirmation immediately following placement of your order.

Your order remains on file for up to ten business days. If payment is not received within ten business days of your request, the request is deleted.

County Court To Search	RE: Middlesex County Probate Files: Please note that all probate records from 1887 - 1925 for Middlesex County are held in an offsite storage facility and are currently unavailable through our retrieval service. Probate records in Middlesex County are available from 1926 to the present (as are older records from 1643 - 1886).

Type of Probate Record	Please note, a "Name Change" record or "Guardianship" record is not an adoption. We do not obtain copies of any adoption records. Such records are closed by the court and need a court order to access. Please do not request an adoption record and state the record is a name change, or guardianship. No refunds will be made in the event of such a request.
Year Probate Recorded	Is the file earlier than the year 1925? If so, explain in notes section. Not all papers in pre 1925 probate records can be photocopied. Accessibility varies by county. We do not photocopy any 17th or 18th century documents, unless already on microfilm or been digitally scanned. Probates in Middlesex County are available from 1643 - 1886 and from 1926 to the present.
Not Sure of Year?	If year is unknown, enter a range... up to a 5 year span, i.e.1985 - 1989.
